Any Orkut members out there?
Orkut, as far as I know, is one of those "six degrees of separation" systems run by Google. But I'm one of the great unwashed, so I could be wrong. Like Gmail, you can't sign up for Orkut. You have to be invited. And I'm curious - if the app is anywhere near as good as Gmail, it's worth checking out. So if anybody who reads this site is a member of Orkut, I would appreciate an invitation. And is there a Domino bloggers Orkut community? If not, should there be?

Thanks, guys. I've been playing with Orkut for a couple of hours, and I like it.
Rich, I've created a Domino Bloggers community. So feel free to join if you like. I've also invited a bunch of our fellow Domino bloggers to join Orkut. So maybe we can get some critical mass going. If they were already in my address book, I added them - if not, I didn't go hit all the blogs and grab contact information - so I invited about 15 Domino bloggers, out of 100 or so that I know of. But if everybody invited a couple more, well, that'd be the whole point of Orkut, wouldn't it? Heh...
PS Tom, I have no idea why, but your invite didn't show up in my inbox - it could be a yahoo thing, I guess. I just found out our mail admin at work drops all yahoo messages (and hotmail) without any response. Maybe yahoo is dumping Orkut invitations (they're definitely blocking Gmail invitations)?

btw, a friend of mine tested the Yahoo/Gmail blockage thing, and he said the message went into the bulk folder. So I'm sure that's what's happening to the rest of them as well.
